The London Conchord Ensemble are delighted to be making their debut appearance at the Andover Music Club. They are one of the leading chamber ensembles in Europe today. A combination of soloists and principals from the top London orchestras, they have performed and broadcast through the British Isles, Germany, Belgium and Amsterdam as well as making several recordings. Their unique sense of passion and infectious stage presence will make a fitting finale to our season. London Conchord Ensemble was formed in 2002 by internationally recognised young soloists, chamber musicians and principals from the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Opera House Orchestra, the Philharmonia and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. Conchord enjoys a busy recording career, with discs on the Sanctuary Classics/ASV, Black Box and Quartz labels and can be heard regularly on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM. In 2008 they will launch a 3 CD recording project on Orchid Classics. Future seasons include a tour to Germany and concerts in Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Palais des Beaux Arts Brussels, Chelsea Festival with James Gilchrist and the Windsor Festival with Sue Bickley. |
