FUNDING

Like any other concert club we rely on our membership to provide a sound financial base, and we have been blessed with good financial advice and management over the years.  These strengths, together with an outstanding venue at the Lights, enable us to maintain the high professional standards members have come to expect from Andover Music Club, by enabling us to book artists and ensembles of high calibre.

Our members contribute about 70% of the cost of our season.  Another important strand of our income is the sale of single tickets, and in this regard we ask members who are unable to attend any concert to advise the Membership Secretary.  A single ticket sold represents £10 additional income, and as evidence suggests that we regularly have 20 members missing, sales of tickets could raise another 10% of season costs.

Each concert costs, on average, around £2,300 to present, with membership fees and ticket sales covering a significant proportion of that cost.  Sponsorship is therefore very important to us, and we believe that the high quality concerts we promote should attract high quality support.  We are always looking for new sponsorship opportunities, as new sponsors may attract additional public grants.

We have been grateful for the support from organisations during our previous seasons and are continually seeking support for the current and future concert series'. Those organisations that have supported us, in the past, have benefited from advertising within the concert programme and on these web pages. This can include your company logo and a web link to your company web site.
